2015 James Beard Award Semifinalists

We are honored to have Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head Brewery and Rob Tod of Allagash Brewing Company chosen as an Outstanding Wine, Beer, or Spirits Professional semifinalists and Scott Anderson of Elements in Princeton for Best Checf Mid-Atlantic semifinalist for the distinguished James Beard Awards!

The James Beard Foundation’s mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honor America’s diverse culinary heritage through programs that educate and inspire. variety of events and programs designed to educate, inspire, entertain, and foster a deeper understanding of our culinary culture. These programs include educational initiatives, food industry awards, an annual national food conference, Leadership Awards program, culinary scholarships, and publications. In addition to maintaining the historic James Beard House in New York City’s Greenwich Village as a “performance space” for visiting chefs, the Foundation has created a robust online community, and hosts conferences, tastings, lectures, workshops, and food-related art exhibits in New York City and around the country.

Known as the Oscars of the food world, the James Beard Awards cover all aspects of the industry, and we are proud they recognize the efforts that Sam Calagione and Rob Tod have made in the craft beer industry. We’re also thrilled to see New Jersey represented with Chef Scott Anderson in the running! We wish them good luck in the next round and hope to see them on the winners list!
