Bourbon Barrel of Compromise

All of the Master Distillers on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, including Town Branch, poured their individual distillery’s bourbon into a barrel to be aged for six months in the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C. The barrel will be opened at another Celebration of Compromise to be shared and celebrated with the leaders of our country.

The “Bourbon Summit” hype began when President Obama told reporters he’d like to have some Kentucky bourbon with Senator Mitch McConnell. He was talking about trying to get Republicans and Democrats in Washington to work together. Word got out to the distillers on the bourbon trail and now they are sending a special barrel over to Washington to encourage conversation and compromise with the two parties. The Kentucky Distillers Association and the Henry Clay Center for Statesmanship call it the “Bourbon Barrel of Compromise”. Click HERE for some coverage about the event.
