Hunterdon Brewing Company to distribute Double Mountain Brewery

Whitehouse Station, NJ – September 15, 2015 – Double Mountain will be sending one of its best-selling beers to the East Coast for the first time. Based in Hood River, OR, Double Mountain Brewery & Taproom beers are really only distributed in the Pacific NW and the Los Angeles area. Hunterdon was selected as the only distributor outside of these areas to receive their highly sought-after Devil’s Kriek. “We are honored to be the only distributor west of the Rockies to receive this!” stated John Hoyos, Hunterdon’s Esoteric Brand Manager. “Hunterdon’s staff has tasted the beer and is thoroughly impressed”.
Devil’s Kriek is a 9% ABV Flanders Red Ale. “The Hood River Valley is such a perfect place to make a lambic/fruit style beer. Combining a great fruit growing region with dedicated brewmasters makes our valley a destination for sour fruit beers.” announced owner and brewmaster Matt Swihart. “It’s a dream of a lifetime to create these beers, I can’t think of any other place I’d rather be brewing”.
The Alstrom Bros of Beer Advocate gave Devil’s Kriek a score of 88 and call it “A damn fine Kriek […] let it breathe a bit before consuming to allow the heavy phenolics to subside”.
When Double Mountain Brewery opened in 2007 the goal wasn’t just to be a great brewery, but to be a “brewer’s brewery” and for the past 8 years they have done just that. They focus on quality and balance to satisfy the budding beer fans and the craft enthusiasts alike. Craft beer fans in New Jersey can expect to see Devil’s Kriek on the shelves in mid-September and can find more details about the release on
Hunterdon’s website.
