Happy New Year and welcome to our new web site!

This is the first in a series of bi-weekly articles we’re calling “From the Field.” These posts will be written by Hunterdon sales reps, managers, office and warehouse personnel with the intention of keeping our customers and supplier partners up-to-date with all things Hunterdon. By doing this, we hope to share real-time and real-life success stories through all three tiers of the craft beer business.

Throughout my eighteen years in the business, I have never, ever seen this much passion and enthusiasm for craft beer. Hunterdon finished the year up 40% over 2010! And that (as you know) was less than the consumers actually demanded. I don’t know of any craft brewer who isn’t planning an expansion. The only business better than craft beer right now, is craft beer equipment, or raw materials for craft beer.

 

As a result of this overwhelming demand, we’re hiring staff for every level of our company: drivers, warehouse, office and sales. Five new delivery trucks will be purchased in the first half of 2012 and four new sales routes will be added the first week of January. Customer service is always our top priority and we’re trying our best to keep up with the growing demand for our products.

Five sales reps are now certified Cicerones. Further proving our commitment to educate our customers and inspire our consumers on the qualities of craft. By the end of 2012, we hope to have our entire sales staff certified.

We’re planning on another strong year. Hard to believe, but we’re actually budgeting for over 40% growth again. Really, there has never, ever…………..ever, been a better time to be part of the craft beer business.
