Smuttynose’s Wheat Wine and Noonan Black are back!

Founded in 1994, Smuttynose Brewing Company is named after a small island in the Isle of Shoals – a collection of islands off the coast of New Hampshire. Four years after opening, Smuttynose launched their Big Beer Series – a collection of limited release specialty brews in 22oz format that allow the brewers to dabble in styles such as farmhouse saisons, Belgian quadruples and Baltic porters, to name a few. This week we are featuring one of those delectable Big Beer Series members – Wheat Wine Ale. Smuttynose mixed up a combination of two well-known beer styles, a rich and plentiful Barleywine along with the delicate flavors of an American wheat ale to formulate this bold and exciting brew… but that’s not all! You can also find Noonan Black IPA on NJ shelves this week! It may pour like a porter, but once the aroma hits your nose, you realize what a unique treat this beer is. A dark brew with a piney and herbal aroma that boasts a depth of caramel malts and American hops. Both are not to be missed, so pick up a bottle or two this week and you’ll see why Rate Beer has voted Smutty as one one of the top 100 brewers in the world for 10 years straight! You can also head over to the Nassau Inn in Princeton this week to enjoy both of these styles on tap:
