Stone Brewing Delicious IPA & Japanese Green Tea IPA

Continuing the successful flow of the Collaboration Series, Stone Brewing Co kicks off 2015 with the revival of Japanese Green Tea IPA. This 10.1% ABV beer was first brewed in 2011 with Bryan Baird, Brewmaster at Baird Brewing Company and Toshi Ishii, Brewmaster at Ishii Brewing Co in Japan. They made a slight modification by using Helga hops from Australia this time around, rather than the Pacifica hops from New Zealand they used in 2011. Changes aside, the star of the beer is the whole-leaf green tea imported from Japan. It takes over the aroma and the tea flavors come though mid-palate and linger nicely with a dry character. In addition to the massive hop flavor and bitterness, the Helga hops offer an flavor element of peach, apricot and mango. Talk about refreshing! It’s an all time favorite among the Stone brewers, so grab a 22oz bottle and enjoy this fantastic collaboration! We can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

Looking for a tasty gluten reduced option? Give Stone Delicious IPA a go. It’s an intensely citrusy, beautifully bitter beer worthy of it’s title. Lemondrop and El Dorado hops combine to bring on a lemon candy-like flavor that’s balanced by hop spice. The brewers say “It’s unlike anything we’ve tasted in nearly two decades of IPA experimentation, and another lupulin-laced creation we’re excited to introduce to hopheads everywhere.” This one is fermented in such a way that it breaks down and removes enough gluten to qualify as a ‘gluten reduced’ ale by the FDA. Gluten reduced or not, this beer has enough citrus and hop flavor to excite any IPA drinker! It’s 7.7% ABV and 80 IBUs of deliciousness.

Stone Go To IPA
This beer employed the “hop bursting” technique. The result is a beautifully aromatic beer with substantial, but somewhat mellow, bitterness. The hop bursting also enhances the flavor retention of the hops, and combined with the dry hop, creates a very intense and complex hop flavor. 4.5% abv
Available in 1/2, 1/6 kegs and 6 packs

Stone IPA
Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. 6.9% abv
Available in 1/2, 1/6 kegs and 6 packs

Arrogant Bastard
This is an aggressive ale. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. 7.2% abv
Available in 1/2 kegs and 22oz

Stone Cali-Belgique
The addition of a carefully selected strain of Belgian yeast adds unexpected layers of flavors and aroma, providing a deliciously funky overtone to the hoppy brightness you already know and love as Stone IPA. 6.9% abv
Available in 22oz

Stone Ruination IPA
So called because of its truly “ruinous” effect on your palate, this massive hop monster will change forever your preconceptions of what defines good beer. This is Stone IPA’s big brother, and we mean BIG. 8.2% abv
Available in 4 packs

Cheers!
