The NEW River Horse Brewery!

We are excited to announce that production is underway at the new River Horse Brewery in Ewing, New Jersey! The crew is finding their new 25,000 square foot space to be a massive improvement over their previous home in Lambertville which consisted of a mere 10,000 square feet chopped up between two floors and four rooms. It goes without saying that everyone at the brewery has an extra spring in their step these days!

While some nostalgic River Horse fans are sad to see them leave their old space, this change is a GOOD change. It marks the beginning of an exciting new era for this local craft brewery who celebrated their 17th anniversary earlier this year. Without this new space, the brewery would not be able to keep up with the overwhelming demand for their delicious craft suds. And we all want MORE beer, right? Their new location in Ewing will give them the capability to grow from 9,500 barrels per year to over 80,000 in the years ahead! Cheers to that!

New equipment includes a bright tank, grain silo and grist mill. The brewery is currently operating with eleven 40-barrel fermenters, but has enough space to double that in the future. Owner Chris Walsh is working on plans for a tasting room that will feature growler pours to-go and a gift shop stocked with more RH schwag than ever before. Both are expected to be completed by late August 2013, at which point tours and tastings will commence! And for those die-hard River Horse festival fans, don’t you fret….the Oktoberfests and release parties will still go on. And with a much larger outdoor space, they’ll be even bigger and better! Be sure to stay in the loop on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news and happenings in Ewing!
