Troegs Hop Knife

Hand-harvested at the peak of maturity, Cascade, Chinook and El Dorado hops went into the boil while Centennial, Citra and Columbus were used to dry hop this brand new brew from Troegs- HOP KNIFE Harvest Ale. It’s the third installment of The Hop Cycle Series. This series was introduced back in January with a simple goal- each new seasonal release would follow the life cycle of a hop strain. The super tasty Cultivator was released back in the spring and Sunshine Pils returned once again to delight palates everywhere throughout the summer. Now, you can sip on some Hop Knife, a deep amber IPA weighing in at 6.2% ABV while you welcome the fall. As for food…Go a little heavy on the ginger or pair this one with a Thai dish to bring out the fresh hopped flavor and resin-y, tropical aromas. It’s perfectly balanced and will leave you wanting more, so go ahead!

What’s next? Keep an eye out for the next IPA in The Hop Cycle series this winter – Blizzard of Hops!
“Blizzard of Hops confirms a successful harvest and the end of The Hop Cycle. As winter slowly creeps in, we salute hop growers who process and ship hops around the world. Enjoy the fruits of their labor and savor sticky notes of citrus and pine with this revitalizing Winter IPA.”
