Weyerbacher Blasphemy & Last Chance IPA

We’re happy to report that Weyerbacher’s 2012 Blasphemy has arrived! This highly-coveted bourbon barrel-aged Quadrupel was first brewed in 2007 and then again in 2008 before taking a few years hiatus from the brewing schedule. Weyerbacher tested a new bottle-conditioned version of Blasphemy last year but when a few batches failed to condition properly, several states missed out on the release of this decadent concoction. Luckily for us here in Jersey, we were able to get our hands on some…Of course, there’s never enough to go around so we were pretty excited when a big ol’ batch landed at our warehouse last week. Still 11.8% abv and super smooth with complex notes of oak, vanilla, bourbon and dried fruit. Be sure to grab a few bottles…one to drink now and one to age in your cellar for later. Now available in 750ml cork & cage bottles and making its way to store shelves and craft beer bars as we speak! 96 points Ratebeer.com

This month marks some bittersweet news for Weyerbacher IPA fans as we bid farewell to Hops Infusion, Weyerbacher’s flagship IPA since 1998, and say hello to their brand new year-round hoppy brew, Last Chance IPA. The recipe for this West Coast-style IPA was the overall winner in last year’s Weyerbacher IPA project. Hopped with a combination of Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe and Columbus and then dry-hopped with Centennial, Cascade, and a touch of Columbus, this assertive brew clocks in at 5.9%abv and 62 IBUs and is brimming with aromas of pine, citrus and grapefruit. A portion of the profits from “Last Chance” go to local animal rescue organizations that work to find dogs, cats and other animals a loving family and a place to live. Enjoy this tasty beer while supporting great cause! Last Chance makes its debut in New Jersey this week ON DRAFT ONLY. 6-packs will be available very soon, so stay tuned for the official release date! Click here to read more about Last Chance.
