Weyerbacher Tango

Weyerbacher does it again… Tango is back and better than ever! Originally a Brewer’s Select Series member, this bold Belgian-style dark ale is brewed with 1,200 pounds of cherries and weighs in at 10.6%ABV. The complex aromas and flavors of dark fruit combine with the cherries and team up with Belgian yeast for yet another perfectly balanced and perfectly delicious beer. The sweetness comes from a combination of Pilsner Malt, Honey Malt, Special B, Aromatic and a hint of Chocolate malt along with Apollo hops to bring it to 35 on the IBU scale. Bottle conditioned, corked and caged, this special release will cellar well, so be sure to pick up 2 bottles when you see it on NJ shelves this week!

But that’s not all…
Weyerbacher has been doing much more than just brewing amazing beer! Did you know they donate a portion of the proceeds from Last Chance IPA sales to small, regional animal rescue operations? In fact, they have raised nearly $40,000 to date since the debut of Last Chance in 2012. That is pretty phenomenal! You can check out some pictures of the Hunterdon crew at the local NJ animal shelters HERE. Weyerbacher also donated over $12,000 to the Breast Cancer Patient Assistance Fund through Lehigh Valley Health Network from the sales of the limited, Althea. A Belgian Dubbel brewed with plums and conceived by New Jersey Weyerbacher rep, Natalie.

Needless to say, lots of great things are happening at the Weyerbacher brewery in Easton, PA! If you are nearby, make sure you stop in to see the expanded bar and tasting room at the Visitor’s Center and take a tour!
